The purpose of the role is to primarily manage the Advanced Technology Research of our MedTech products; Build the roadmap of Advanced Technology, Develop R&D strategy, Deploy R&D resources to realize the technologies in the roadmap; Ensure that our technologies align with product strategy and roadmap; Co-work with product development team to bridge relevant technologies to commercial product projects
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders, customers, product strategy, product managers & Product Development teams to develop a product map for endoscopy, wearable injector and diabetes care product solutions.
Translate the product roadmap to an advanced technology roadmap
Develop the strategy and plan for realizing the technologies defined in the Advanced Technology Roadmap
Recruiting appropriate internal/external talents/resources.
Lead and manage to execute the strategy/plan to on time establish the technologies in the Advanced Technology Roadmap.
Outcome:
Provide an Advanced Technology roadmap that aligns with product strategy and roadmap
Evaluate emerging technologies that might impact our business.
Provide a R&D strategy & plan
Provide Prototypes/working models
Provide relevant technical documents

A minimum of 15+ years in the MedTech sector, with ideally qualifications in medical imaging system, endoscopy or subcutaneous fluid infusion technology.

Demonstrable experiences on international R&D collaboration management in medical device development environment would be well regarded.

Demonstrable knowledge of hardware and software, including optical, electrical, mechanical and software design work experiences with medical devices for on-body drug delivery, miniaturization devices with visualization technology for diagnosis and surgical uses.

Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, resource recruiting, resource allocation, technology development methods.
